Tax and finance calculators for India

Income tax, GST, TDS, deferred tax, depreciation, HRA, gratuity, EMI and more. Enter your figures and the answer updates as you type. Every calculator also shows the formula it applies, the current rates with the financial year they belong to, a worked example, and links to the government source the numbers come from.

Run these on your actual books, not on typed-in figures

Inside Aalekh the same calculations read your client data directly. Depreciation imports the asset register from Tally, the MSME 43B(h) working pages through your payables ledger, and every result flows into the financial statements and the return without re-keying.

Questions about these calculators

Yes. Every calculator on this page is free and needs no sign-up. Each one shows the formula it applies, the rates it uses and the financial year those rates belong to, so you can check the working rather than trust a black box.
Each page states the financial year and assessment year its rates apply to, and carries the date it was last reviewed. Where a rule changed mid-year or a Budget revised a threshold, the page says so instead of quietly applying one version.
They are built to be accurate and every rate is sourced from the department or ministry that published it, with the source linked at the bottom of each page. They are still a working aid, not professional advice, so confirm anything material with your Chartered Accountant before you file.
These pages are standalone and take figures you type in. Inside Aalekh the same calculations run on your actual books: the depreciation calculator pulls the asset register from Tally, the MSME 43B(h) working reads your payables ledger, and the results carry through to the financial statements and the return.
Yes, wherever the distinction matters. The new regime is the default regime, and several exemptions such as HRA are not available under it, so each affected page flags which regime the figure applies to rather than assuming one.
After every Budget and whenever a notification, circular or rule change affects a figure on a page. The review date printed on each calculator tells you when it was last checked against the source.
